Institutional

(Group Homes, Hospital, Learning Institution, Student Residences)

Most elevator accidents that occur in institutional buildings happen when people are rushing, distracted or feeling inconvenienced.  These behaviours are often caused when people are:

  • Trying to jam into an over crowded elevator
  • Calling someone to let them know they’re on their way
  • Rushing because they are late for an appointment or class
  • Using their smart phone while getting on the elevator

The next time you find yourself in one of these situations, take a breath and keep your cool otherwise your actions could cause an accident and delay you further.
